We are looking for candidates who share our values POSITION OBJECTIVEBethesda’s Children’s services requires two (2) Full Time Registered Early Childhood Educators The role of the Registered Early Childhood Educator will be to promote Bethesda’s mission, vision, values and quality client care, the RECE will provide services and supports to children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and are registered with the Ontario Autism Program. This position will report to the Manager of Children’s Services. Some of the key responsibilities of this position will be: Conduct assessments and identify treatment goals with clinical supervision.Investigate ideas and plan the integration of engaging community activities into service options.Provide Brief Clinical Consultation Services.Provide Resource Consultation Services.Facilitate community connections, program registrations and referrals and share resources.Develop curriculum and resources for individual and group based treatment services, and recreational services.Develop resources and program materials.Maintain client records and complete documentation as required.Assist caregivers completing funding applications and reconciliation forms and program registration documentation.Write Reports, Programs and Service Plans with clinical supervision.Lead facilitation of group based skill building intervention services with clinical supervision.Develop and lead group based activities in the Entry to School Program.Support children/youth engaging in risk behaviour while remaining calm, neutral, and effectively using non-violent crisis intervention strategies..Facilitates appropriate internal and community referrals.Facilitate Caregiver and Children and Youth Workshops.Provide Coaching and Support to Caregivers, Community Partners, and CYS Team Members.Collaborate with Community Partners, and Interdisciplinary Team Members.Actively participate in team meetings and provide suggestions, creative ideas and recommendations for strengthening CYS.Collect and analyze data.Comply with Bethesda policies and procedures relating to health and safety.Responsible for reporting all health and safety concerns immediately following the Internal Responsibility System.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSDiploma in Early Childhood education or a university degree in Child Studies.Maintains a current membership in the Association of Early Childhood Educations, Ontario (AECE,O).Early Childhood Resource Teacher Certificate preferred.Two years R.E.C.E. experience working with children with a wide range of communication difficulties in an early learning environment.Excellent knowledge of child development in all areas, including communication development and behaviour management.Experience working within a multi disciplinary team.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Valid Driver’s License.First Aid Training and CPR Certification.Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certified.Professional Communication Skills: professionally represents the company through strong communication skills, both oral and written.\Teamwork: excels at working with others and communicating with a team to provide the most effective support to clients.Problem-Solving: able to navigate challenges and barriers, always looks for potential pitfalls and risks to help mitigate problems ahead of time, and knows when to ask for help.Proactive: anticipates and solves problems and issues before they are brought to your attention.Fluent in French is an asset AUDThoroldL2V
